A major restructure at Crown will see around 1000 employees made redundant across the company’s Melbourne and Perth operations — including in its casinos, resorts and corporate offices.
CEO Ciaran Carruthers blamed “reduced foreign tourism, a sharp decline in local workers in the city centres, and restrictions on gaming play” for the “difficult decision”.
Impacted employees will be notified over the coming days, a Crown spokesperson confirmed.
