The war in Ukraine has passed 300 days

A missile attack launched by Russia has killed at least 30 people in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, with more than 30 also hospitalised.

The missile struck a nine-storey apartment building on Saturday (local time), causing mass destruction throughout the complex.

The context

A series of Russian missile attacks in recent days are said to have targeted energy infrastructure across Ukraine, to limit the country’s access to power and capacity to fight.

The missile launched in Dnipro on Saturday, a city in central Ukraine, hit a residential building.

Following the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy launched new sanctions against 200 Russians who were said to “justify terror”.
