French President Emmanuel Macron has announced condoms will be free at pharmacies for anyone aged 18 to 25 from next year.

Macron described it as a “small revolution in contraception”. He also said the measures are intended to help reduce the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases, adding that France is “not very good” at sexual education.

It comes after a decision last year to make birth control free for women under 25.
