A supermoon will be visible in the skies across Australia this afternoon but, but its best viewing time will be later this evening.
Today’s supermoon event comes a month after the blue supermoon.
A supermoon occurs three to four times a year, while a blue supermoon occurs once every two to three years.
Supermoons are the “biggest and brightest moons of the year,” according to NASA.
