The Democrats have won the final seat in the U.S. Senate, after incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock beat Republican candidate Herschel Walker in the state of Georgia.

The race between Warnock and Walker went to a head-to-head ‘runoff’ vote after neither could garner the 50% threshold needed during last month’s midterm elections. Warnock has won the runoff with 50.8% of the votes counted.

The Democrats will now hold a majority in the Senate and the Republicans will have the majority in the House of Representatives.
