At least 126 people have died and around 190 people are injured in Tibet following an earthquake.
International monitoring systems rated the quake between 6.8 and 7.1 magnitude.
The earthquake struck the country’s south-west around 9am local time on Tuesday and was followed by more than 150 aftershocks.

The earthquake struck a remote part of south-western Tibet, close to its border with Nepal.
According to Chinese media, over 1,000 homes have been impacted, with many turned to rubble.
Rescue efforts have been restricted by poor roads and wintry conditions, with temperatures as low as -15°C.
Tibet’s spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, said he was “deeply saddened” by the news and that “I offer my prayers for those who have lost their lives”.
