Inflation rate

Inflation fell to 2.7% in August 2024, down from 2.5% in July, and the lowest monthly inflation figure since August 2021.

According to the ABS, housing saw one of the biggest inflation increases in the year to June 2024 (up 5.2%).

Inflation grew by 4.9% in the year up to July 2023, according to the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
