However, leaders in Israel have said they won’t agree to a ceasefire until the hostages taken on October 7 have been released. Instead, Israel has agreed to daily four-hour humanitarian pauses. In today’s deep dive, we’ll explain the difference between a ceasefire and humanitarian pause.
