Wage growth

Wages grew by 4.1% over the year to June, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). It’s predicted to slow over the year ahead.

Charity CEOs’ average salary decreased over the past year to $265,000, down from $267,000 last year.

Both the ‘national minimum wage’, which affects 1% of the workforce, and minimum award wages, which cover 2.6 million Australians, are covered by this increase.

Wage growth in Australia has continued above 4% in the 12 months to March, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

National wages grew by 1.3% during July to September, according to the ABS. It’s a record growth but doesn’t match inflation.
