Roy Morgan’s report updated its rankings for the December 2022 quarter, and used nominations from over 22,000 Australians to inform its results. It found that Optus and Medibank – the two companies that dealt with significant breaches of consumer data in the December quarter – both lost large amounts of trust following the cyberattacks. Qantas also experienced a large decline in trust, after being ranked the ninth most trusted brand in the previous report.
